Before transitioning to full-time consulting, I worked as a project manager for Pulsed Light Technologies GmbH. They are building petawatt-class lasers for nuclear fusion research.

Before that I helped build a research group in biomedical imaging at Helmholtz Zentrum München (HPC Bruns) and NCT Dresden (FBOO).

Before that I helped build a clinical trial for Lumicell. Ask me and I can show you my thumbprints on their approval notice.

In my spare time I climb mountains, hike across countries, make art, play disc golf, and generally explore the world.

Projects

• Lagrangians: Art based on chaotic differential equations (see the gallery here)
• libpicoquant: Decoders for PicoQuant file formats
• Photon correlation: A suite of tools for processing photon arrival time data (TTTR, TCSPC) developed for my PhD work.
• Kunst und Krebs: An art installation at NCT Dresden. I designed the lighting for the two pieces made by Eric Beier, intended to demonstrate the role of fluorescence imaging in medicine, where it is used to identify otherwise invisible differences between types of tissue. • Spacivo: A service for finding housing that fits your real needs.
• ALPR Watch: Keeping track of ALPR installations and the growth of surveillance networks worldwide. I maintain a list of suspected locations of installed surveillance, and wrote tools for navigating around surveillance. Both are features of the DeFlock app
• Stickerist: Documenting sticker culture around the world
